No ring neck males have color females don't. Yup looks like a cat got a hold of her by feathers everywhere. Our cat is a stone cold killer. Always bringing shit in mice, birds, snakes. He had 3/4 of his intestine removed last year and he's still at it.

The males also have the long feather tail so this unit is definitely a male. Beautiful birds for sure. My sister made me some pheasant soup many years ago. It was absolutely delicious. I should get myself a small game license.

Here is a pic of the killer:

I am not normally into cat but this guy has earned my respect. He also keeps the squirrel population under control. My wife used to feed the squirrels and then they got in the house and it was a pain to get rid of them. We don't have anymore squirrel problems now.

He's also admitting to a felony, the mods need to report him.

Edit, re-read his post, hasn't admitted to anything, bummer.

Sorry to disappoint you, never even seen a wolf when out hunting around here. All of my hunting is above board and involves a license. I can fantasize all I want about invasive species and have no place where I live though. The ranchers around here get kill permits occasionally for them, so I guess I can live with them getting all the fun.

How is the dude propping up an animal in the snow any different then deer, elk, and moose mounts?

Yes, we have 6 White Tail mounts at our cabin. If I saw an animal propped up in front of a house, I would think it's cool. People that have never hunter or shot a gun of any kind are funny...

There is a difference in a proper mount/display and another making a mockery of the whole thing.

Hunting is getting more and more difficult for some with tons of noobs coming out with their AR15's and $5000 in 'accessories' attempting to make long shots.

Asshats have no place in the sport.

What's wrong with using an AR15? It's a great gun for varmint hunting.

Yes and I'm sure these scavenging vermin respect life every bit as much as yourself. Canine predators are the only other species on the planet that hunt not only for survival but for sport. Come back when a beloved pet of yours is minding its own business and turns up missing except for the upper part of its skull complete with eyes looking back at you when packs of useless yotes roam the area.

So you're comparing your ability to reason about ethics to that of an animal? Yes that sounds about right.

Just admit you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about because:

1. You live in the second most pussified country.
2. You've never fired a weapon
3. You have never encountered a wild animal
4. You think putting up a fence will keep wild animals out

So the animal is guilty of following his natural instincts for survival...
I guess that's a good enough reason to kill in hick town.

Why yes, it is. Problem is that this animal following its instincts has a tendency to attack small children and domesticated pets.

Plenty enough reason for me to shoot one and hang it in the doorway of whatever PETA / tree hugging A-hole that thinks that the wild animal is more important than my family / pets.

I have wondered if it's possible to raise one from a puppy as a pet. They do seem to be somewhat intelligent. I've known you can get wolf mixes.

I watched a couple of shows on how dogs came to be the way they are about a week ago. They tried to raise a litter of wolf pups and regular dog pups at the same time to see if they could get the wolf pups to take commands from humans like dogs do. No matter how hard they tried to train them, the wolves would not take commands.

Later in the show, they showed a place that was working on making tame foxes. They took the tamest foxes from each batch and mated them. After 5 generations, they had foxes that would take commands from humans, and they started to have coat patterns that were never seen in the wild.

TL;DR:
If you want to have a tame coyote, you'll have to do selective breeding for a few generations before you'll get one that behaves acceptably.

We've already established that cats do it. So do killer whales and dolphins. Some ants bite off the heads of other types of ants and leave them (they aren't killing for food). Hornets (American definition) sometimes wipe out an entire colony of honey bees by staying at the entrance to the hive and killing every last one. You think they're gonna eat all that?

Opinion. Someone could just as easily say that mounting them is making a mockery.

I had a wolf for a long time, the closest thing I can give you as a comparison is a cat's attitude in a dogs body. Unless you were willing and able to kick her ass, you weren't worth listening to.

Starlings are an invasive species.

Kudzu is an invasive species.

do you even know what that means?

How the fuck are wolves an invasive species?

by the way, you should feel free to sate your bloodlust by blowing away any starling that comes across your path. I don't think anyone would begrudge that. :hmm:

then you are really fucking retarded. fences don't keep domestic animals in at times, and they definitely don't always keep wild animals out. we used to have beagles that were escape artists, and would figure out new ways to get past their fence all the time, and they were family pets. a predator has a million more reasons to try and get in.

What guns have you fired?
What wild animals have you encountered
How big of a fence do you need to keep a Wolf or Coyote etc. out?

Wouldn't putting up this fence violate the HOA that you always like to defend (iirc)?
