No, he had no moral right to kill an animal that wasn't putting him in danger, just like with anything else life should be respected unless it is threatening another life, if nothing else could be done then fine, but in this instance the life threatened was a chickens, a chicken that could have been protected with a fence.

The argument "It was pissing me off, and a bullet is cheap" is not a valid moral stance.

Just shut the fuck up already will you.

Have you ever had a steak? Bacon? Chicken? Wear leather? Step on a bug? Swat a fly? Did those animals put you in danger?

The OP stated that this animal likely was responsible for killing a cat and chickens. No moral issue here.

Pick the mouse up, pop it outside. Also don't leave your "Twinkies" on the floor.

Pick the mouse up? Like remove it from the trap? Or pick up its dead, poisoned corpse? That is pretty messy and gross, no thanks.

Or use my ninja skills to catch the mouse alive, then put it outside? That is what the electric fence is for, so that when it comes back inside it can't threaten the twinkies.

Yes but I don't then go and post it online like I'm proud of it, if I kill an animal I'm ashamed not proud, it's not a fucking achievement it's killing an innocent creature.

Loads of moral issues here, read thread I've explained what they are already.

I did't say kill it, pick it up (WHILE ALIVE) and put outside.

This is my point peoples argument in this thread is I CBA to do things morally so lets kill it instead.

Why would I touch a rodent that could bite me and cause an deadly infection (<- I don;t know if that true but why take the risk ) when I can just kill it?

I really want to see you catch a live mouse with a piece of paper. But I suppose I just don't have as much experience compared to you when it comes to dealing with Englands "wild" animals.

copied from another web site:

Sierra Club & Forest Service address Coyote Problem

The Coyote Problem

The Sierra Club and the U.S. Forest Service were presenting an alternative to the Wyoming ranchers for controlling the coyote population. It seems that after years of the ranchers using the tried and true method of shooting or trapping the predators, the Sierra Club had a "more humane" solution to this issue.

What they were proposing was for the animals to be captured alive. The males would then be castrated and let loose again. This was ACTUALLY proposed by the Sierra Club and by the U.S. Forest Service.

All of the ranchers thought about this amazing idea for a couple of minutes. Finally an old fellow in the back of the conference room stood up, tipped his hat back and said; "Son, I don't think you understand our problem here. These coyotes ain't fu_kin' our sheep - they're eatin' 'em!"

The room blew up with laughter and the meeting never really got back on track.

Lets see,

How much would it cost to put up a electric fence around my friends 40 acre ranch in Colorado? (better make it over 15' high, as they can jump over 18')

Oh, then that keeps out the elk and deer which he would rather not keep out.

Lets talk about poison, you poison the mice to keep then out of the barn, and all of a sudden all your owls die off, from eating poisoned field mice.

I will no longer use poison traps, It is better for all the other wild life that prays on the mice.

Some of you people need to get out of the city, and a certain person on here should not be talking, just shut up and stay in England. Seeing a small black bear in a park, and being followed by a brown bear are 2 different things. How about being tracked by a couger? You know bears, cougers, wolves, eat meat dont you? And in the U.S.A. you are just food to them.

Wonder what you would say if your pet poodle got snatched up from your back yard? Or better yet, your baby, left outside, in your fenced in yard?

End of Rant.......

lol, i'd love to see you trying to pick up big field rat with a paper bag.

I really want to see you catch a live mouse with a piece of paper. But I suppose I just don't have as much experience compared to you when it comes to dealing with Englands "wild" animals.

You can buy humane rat/ mouse traps that catch them without hurting them. Maybe try that? I've used one before they are very simple.

Stop telling me to shut up, the argument that "It's easier to kill the animals than to deal with them humanly" is ignorant and moronic. Try again next time.

who walks around picking up mice? kill it first, those things are a pain to catch.

also, neckbeard's experiences are contained within his mom's basement, so his entire view of the outdoors is what he's seen online.

also, british people have bad teeth.

so now you are digging 2 ft in the ground, to install a full below ground barrier...

better call the electric company to ask them to bury the cable deeper
better call the phone company to ask them to bury the cable deeper
better call the gas company to ask them to bury the cable deeper
better check with zoning laws in regards to underground barriers

cliffs: troll
