Great point!
I stated earlier that the difference was the fact that the PL190 does not have a 2-port USB hub, but I didn't notice the PL190 NOT having a DVI cable shipped with it. Those two things alone make the PL191 a better value, IMO.
Timing is everything when purchasing computer hardware...especially from Dell.
Three weeks ago the PL191 was a hot deal on sale at Dell for $559 after a $30 rebate from Planar.
I bought one then but returned it thinking I was going back to a CRT. Now after being back on a CRT for a couple of weeks, I want my LCD back.
I'm not so worried about gaming and ghosting/smearing on a LCD. I do little to no gaming like I used to when I was younger and single. But I have some photo editing needs, so I've decided I'll just use my wife's system/CRT for that. Because while LCD's are sweet to look at and much easier on the eyes and have a lot of positives over a CRT, one thing they simply cannot do yet is reproduce "true" colors and shades like a CRT can.
So I'm dropping the extra $100 and going for the PX191. It has higher brightness/contrast specs., has the new pivot screen, and I dig the new all-around thinner bezel with no speakers on it. They are 1 watt pieces of junk that serve no purpose other than providing the standard Windows bells and beeps. At 1 watt, they WILL NOT provide any kind of sweet sound stereo that one would want to listen to for any length of time.
