I think my girlfriend is pregnant

For those of you with kids, please help me out.

11 days ago the condom broke, and I didn't notice until it was too late. She is on the pill, so I didn't think it was anything to worry about. (she did miss her pill 3 days ago by accident, but took two the next day like you're supposed to)

Flash to last night, she say she had to go to the bathroom really often (like twice in 10 minutes was the worst), and occasionally there is a little bit of blood. She was ok all of today except for like an hour ago when it happened again. We're afraid this could be the egg burrowing into the lining of her uterus.

Do you guys think she is indeed pregnant? I've pretty much come to accept the fact that she is, but I'm paranoid about everything and the only real reasoning I have is what I've just stated. I'd think the condom breaking is good enough reason to think she is, though.

She is calling Planned Parenthood tomorrow to schedule an appointment to find out what's going on. We agreed before we started having sex that in case this did ever happen, we would get an abortion. We are both finishing up our first year of college, so this really couldn't have happened at a worse time. I know the worst case scenario is that she gets an abortion behind the back of her/my parents over the summer, but that is a pretty damn bad scenario if you ask me. If her parents find out I doubt they will pay for her tuition anymore (they hate the fact that she's dating as it is), so our lives will be pretty much ****** then.

But, hopefully, I'm fretting over nothing. What do you think?

She went to the doctor's today to check out her UTI (after about 100 of you told me this, I convinced her that is what it was), they sent her to Planned Parenthood because that is where her campus' OB-GYN works out of. The doctor said she's completely sure she's not pregnant, and it would be a freak thing if she is. Of course, it won't be 100% until she gets her period, but I'll take the doctor's word for it.

I've had a couple of close calls recently, so I know what you're going through.

All I can say is if she is preggorz, do whatever you gotta do as long as you both agree. I know a lot of girls that always said they'd have an abortion, but when it came down to it, they couldnt do it. So dont force her to do anything she isnt prepared to do.

As long as she's 18, she can have an abortion without her parents knowing. It'll cost you like $500, like I said, do what you gotta do.

On a side note, freshman in college and her parents still don't want her dating? Ignorant if you ask me...

IMO abortion is the right way to go if you don't want kids yet. Its unfortunate but its something that happens (accidental things like this).

I'm pretty sure pregnancy tests can't be considered very accurate until about the time a woman would miss her period, which hasn't happened yet, and isn't supposed to until next week. So until then, I don't think we will know anything for sure.

I've had one break and knew right away because it felt too good. She's probably not pregnant if she was on the pill (even if she missed one) so try to relax. Even with no protection, I think women can only get pregnant a few days a month. Otherwise, have a cigar dad J/k, don't worry unless you have to worry (missed period, test comes out positive).

she could just be under stress, the female body is a mess i've learned. however, if she's late when her period is due, take a pregnancy test and hope for the best. and if she is and she gets it aborted prepare for lots of therapy in her future should you stay together.

edit: and from your OP neither of you are mature enough to be having sex yet, not that it will stop you.

Had a close call about 3 weeks ago. She took plan B 36 hours afterward and it was all good... thing is, she's very pro-life, so we'd be having the kid. Even though I know it would be the hardest thing in the world to care for a kid given my situation now, I admit I had a tinge of disappointment when she got her next period.

To the OP, there are many things that can cause the bleeding. It could be hormones... if she is on the pill there's a good chance she's not pregnant.

btw the pill is NOT 100%, just fyi to those who seem to think it is. it's good, like 99.9999%, but i know people who have had kids on condoms and the pill, so it happens.

Hi me 4 years ago.

It sucks, but as fisher said, the female body is a huge mess. A lot of it could be stress. Unfortunately, the only prevention method at this point is abortion. I didn't think it costs $500, man. If she's stressing out, I think it can actually lead to a miscarriage, but many wouldn't know it when it happens. When a girl bleeds just one time, it's very possible that was the miscarriage, but you're saying it happens somewhat periodically.

This is probably the worst thing you want to hear since you want an immediate way of doing things, but I think the best thing to do is wait if or until she misses her period; I think you know what your options are from there.

There are a lot of kids at my school that "never want kids" yet have sex constantly. They use protection, but still...it's very real and can happen.

Seriously though...get pregnancy tests before freaking out online.

Had such issues as well,
Mine turned out that she was really pregnant. Missed her period that month
Funny thing is that she showed no signs of being pregnant. Don't even feel fatigue.

Test results were positive and we went to get a second opinion (ultra sound)
indeed the fetus was 6 weeks old.
yeap, since both were not ready, abortion was the way to go.

I guess you could be banking on her taking pills thus far that could solve the suspected mess here.

One thing for sure, if the preg test is positive. (it is seldom negative on a second opinion)
But if the test is negative (it could still turn out to be positive)

Quite a lose lose situation with the self pregnancy test.

Well, it is like playing Russian roulette, but I have many friends who have relied on it for years without any resulting babies. The only thing that is 100% effective is abstinence.
