I think the market is going to crash again

Been doing a lot of reading, and a lot of chart looking. Lot's of gaps in the major indexes looking to get filled, and most of them require a significant bear movement to be filled.

What are your thoughts?

Huh? No. I've been investing since 2001. I only started "actively" trading in March 2008.

Well aside from your evidence it does make sense. I'm not doubting your knowledge it's just, you know random strangers on the net and taking everything with a grain of salt and all. I don't think there has ever been a major recession or depression from which the recovery was a smooth ride. Frankly despite most economists predictions that we've bottomed out I don't think we have any where near enough data on event like this (there have never been any on quite this scale) to know that very well.

yes there's going to be another crash/recession or whatever. as people have already pointed out markets operate in a cyclical / see-saw motion. can't argue with your logic there.

however.....NEVER assume that because it will happen, that it will happen WHEN YOU EXPECT IT. everyone knows that the probability of a coin toss is 50/50 (notwithstanding a recent study), but that doesn't people people can't flip 2 or 3 times in a row and get the same side.

as for the market, I'm a bit skeptical that the economy is making a full recovery, but I'm prudent enough not to predict "Mr. Market's" wild fluctuations...

The market needs to crash anyway, so hopefully it will happen sooner rather than later.

I think there is a reasonable chance that this holiday season will suck for retailers. If that happens, the stocks could take another major dump.
