Could someone who has both one of these (Natural Pro) and an Natural Elite compare them? I keep hearing that the Elite sucks compared to the Pro but no reasons as to why! Is the feel different? The Elite is mushy but I'm used to that... Maybe I'll just have to order one tomorrow and find out!

If you play UT, don't use the Elite. My buttons often get "stuck" and the keyboard configurations often screw up ingame. Not just UT also, ANY game.

I have both...first one i got three years ago...one of the first natural's they came out with.....loved it...took a little getting used to but now it's hard to type on a non-split keyboard. One thing..on my desk (at least) the keyboard drawer isn't deep enough for it ...I busted a couple of the function keys off....tried to super glue them back on and glued one of the keys closed...end of keyboard. Have had the elite as a spare....it's somewhat smaller than the pro, but a nice little keyboard. Haven't got my new Pro installed yet...maybe today

I love my MS Natural Elite, been using Natural Keyboards for 3 years now. I am thinking of getting the Natural Pro. Anyone actually do like the shortcut buttons on it? They aren't install in default right? So I don't have to use them if I don't want to correct? Just want to make sure.

Ive got the pro, and the only way the shortcut buttons work is if you install the software. I also have the elite and it sucks for gaming because of the way the arrows are laid out, I cant stand it. The pro also have a overall better feel to the keys and the way they click.

the pro extra buttons are a waste if you don't plan on using it. it makes the KB much larger than the elite. i got a v2.0 elite. smallest elite natural MS makes

I've the Pro one. For the normal typing, it has been great for me.
For the shortcut buttons, I only use 4 of the buttons: +/- volume, mail & calculator. The rest are not as useful, especially those for broswer like Back, Forward, Refresh, Favorites, Home, and Stop (I don't understand what's the Stop for. We can press the Esc key to stop loading and why MS just so dump to build another Stop button there).

Everyone said they buy this because it has 2 USB ports. Actually you only get ONE USB port. You have to plug in the keyboard's USB into your PC. That means if you originally have 2 USB ports available and now you get 3 USB port available. The advantage is that, you don't need to mess around your PC's back panel all the time if you always plug in and out some USB devices.

The Old School NAtural (predecessor to Elite) Rocked-
Pro/Cons to the KB's

MS NAtural Elite- Cheap,small- very light good for LAN parties- Configuration of the Home/pg Dn, Directional keys are Compressed and hard to use for gaming - this was the MAIN complaint
However, More people USE W-A-S-D keys for FPS games NOw adays instead of the up-dn-lft-rt keys

MS NAtural Pro- $$$ for a keyboard- I use the added Hot keys maybe twice a year - mute and volume comes in handy those 2 times a year. USB ports are Not bus powered so the only thing you can use it for is a USB mouse- Handy for LAN parties if you have a USB mouse

I use to despise the Natural Elite bc of the directional/home keys- However Most gamers use
W_A_S_D- for movement in FPS games so it is no longer a nuisance- THis KB is very light- Great fo rLan Parties-

Black? Well that's out of the ordinary. You might have to just get it off of the site where you found it because I rarely ever see deals on different colored keyboards.
