I realized this yesterday (my birthday) when I recieved a card from a friend advising me to have a happy 26th. I politely informed this person that the card was much appreciated but the age, expertly printed in black fountain pen, was off by a small margin. She politely informed me that I was born in 1982 and invited me to count the years off on my hand, which I did, only to discover I was a complete idiot...

When did I lose this year? Could it have been 2, 3, 4 birthdays ago? For how long have I been telling people I was older than I really am, and why hasn't anyone argued with me?

In conclusion I think I drink too much. And do too many drugs 0_o

Nah you only have to be 21 in America - where I grew up it was 16 or 18 for everything.

I dont know, I do it as well occasionally, usually only by a year one way or the other. Once you reach a certain age ~30 it doesn't matter much.
