i just put a new hdd in my comp, and transfered all the info from my old one to it. Now i have the tricky part (well to me anyway). I have another comp that I need to get a fair bit of info off of, but the hdd is old and has a lot of problems, right now im just happy if i can get it to start up and stay up for an hour. Lately all i can even get to is a "cant start this dll file" at the windows start screen.
Anyway, what i was thinking was this. Take the hard drive i just took out of my computer, then somehow transfer the needed info from the damaged hdd to it. What I was wondering was what would be the best way to do this.
Would it be worth it to try a full drive copy, or has too much damage been done to the drive already?
If i do want to just copy some of the drive, how can i go about setting up a so called second "C" drive?
Is there anything that could get this done for me easier?
ty for any help
