well i thank everyone for the information much better than the info i got from friends at school (dont know lack about law just like me) i am assuming that i did nothing wrong and it was probably just that time of month for the cop. hopefully ill get out of this without paying or with reduced ticket price and off my record in x amount of days if i did do something wrong.

Did he mention what the speed limit was? No. Did he say he was in a school zone? No. Wait to get all the facts before you post.

Go to court, bring your witness,and hope for the best. Worst case is you lose pay the fine + court costs($15-25) Call the phone number on ticket to check on court costs. I went with my son a couple years ago, got there early asked the proscuter if he could downgrade the offence or dismiss the ticket but the judge had final say. He got stuck with some bs downgraded charge, paid fine and court costs but no dmv points, the state trooper even apoligized to us for the whole mess afterward.
