Those are the word of the Lord...Not me. I am not judging you. This is very hard to understand sometimes.

I also remember history and the deep recession that preceeded the great depression.

When the dems instituted their policies it pushed this nation into the great depression.

Since most of them don't remember what happened last month they'll do it again.

I do hope that Obama doesn't take us down that path again but his stated ideas are the party line.

With dems holding power across the board I can only wonder how long it will be before it happens.

Yes, Dave, his post is utter historical nonsense. He needs to read some history of the 1920's.

It's scary what some people believe....

3 for 3 voted for losers. I wonder if this is the start of a trend for me. Will I ever pick the winner? Maybe I need to start voting for the worst option so that I hex it and the best is elected in...

So you do not care to discuss some of the things *you* said? I don't blame you at all.

Why don't you respond to his questions. Why do you feel the need to force your beliefs on others? He does not force his beliefs on you and on the government, so why force your beliefs on him. After all, they are both just beliefs, neither is right or wrong.

Whats worse is he is trying to have a civil discussion with you and you are diverting the discussion to him going to hell apparently? I don't understand how people can be so blind to other peoples beliefs sometimes. What gives you the right to force your beliefs on him? God? does God give you the right to force your beliefs on him? Its a simple question really. What gives you the right?

No, they are not! They are the words of the bible! You people aren't Christians, you're fvcking Biblicians!

To paraphrase Ghandi, "I like your Christ...I don't like your Christians. Your Christians are nothing like your Christ".

People are asking you questions and you ignore them because you have no answers of your own. Quit reading out of a book and quit preaching. Nobody wants to hear it. If you want to have a discussion, feel free. Otherwise, leave.

I was praying on the way to work this morning ? praying for our new president-to-be and America. When I was done, I turned on the radio to a local Christian radio station and just listened to what was being said. The radio hosts ? bless their hearts - were doing their best to remind us as Christians what we are called to. We are called to simply trust in the Lord. I began to sob in the car and I really don?t even know why. I?ve never been this emotional about politics before. But I truly believe the Lord was breaking my heart. The radio hosts were talking about how some of their closest ?Christian? friends are being so terribly bitter and angry toward the results of the election. My heart broke! A woman called into the show and expressed that she had voted for McCain and how terribly sad she was that America had lost sight of what really matters on issues such as human life, marriage, and stem cell research.
I don?t think I really grasped what America has come to until this morning. Aaron and I were talking a couple weeks ago about how it seems that American?s ? especially the younger generation ? think ?it?s cool? to be liberal and forget about everything this country was founded on.
Again, I am not upset that Obama was elected president. I vow, as a Christian, to pray for him as I would any president. The thing that saddens me is how ?Christians? are reacting, and how Americans just don?t seem to care about moral issues. I think that?s why I was sobbing on the way to work today. I truly believe the Lord was breaking my heart and reminding me more than ever, that in today?s world, it?s time to be BOLD and to stand for what is right!
The radio host said something that I want to send out to all of you. He said, ?America may have a new president, and he may not stand for the issues we as Christians stand for, but we still have a King! And He is seated at the right hand of God!? Amen!
Please join me in lifting up in prayer our country, and our new president, Barack Obama, remembering the Lord is still in control!

If you really want to make an impact, get involved in your local community. Volunteer, do something. I don't think an extra prayer will help anything. This is progress and people need to embrace it. People need to focus on the future.

oh, yes, I voted for McCain also

Eh, I'm glad I got out of college. People blocekd off the streets and were drinking beer bongs in the street at Berkeley. Alameda county voted 8:1 for Obama, and I'm sure the ratio's something like 10:1 at least in Berkeley given Bush got something like that in 04. From what I heard from my girlfriend, the celebrations were wild like a New Years countdown or something. I would've felt totally alone. I scrolled 6 pages in Facebook friends statuses to find all yay for Obama updates. It was sad for me.

In any case, I knew Obama was going to win 2 months ago, and I tell myself it won't be that bad. I voted McCain based on certain issues, but I'm sure we'll see improvement either way.

I'd just like to point out that the Great Depression started in 1929. Herbert Hoover became president in 1929. Herbert Hoover and his predecessor Calvin Coolidge were both Republicans. The man that pulled this country out of the Great Depression, FDR, was a Democrat.

Do me a favor. Call God for me and ask him to provide my child with insurance. Obviously no one else in your churches in FL thinks that he should have any through my provider.

Thats correct, and I have a good chance of being right. If your 'big event' of the day is how you prayed in your CAR and had some big 'epiphany' then I feel sorry for you. Thats not an accomplishment, thats just feeling sad and pathetic because your utopian view of the world is crumbling down. Get over it, seriously. And my second suggestion would be for you to stop listening to christian radio blowhards who present themselves as experts in something. The only thing they are experts at, is getting suckers like you, to listen to them.

We abolished slavery. It was a great thing.
We changed so that people can vote regardless of race. It was a great thing.
We changed so that people can vote regardless of sex. It was a great thing.

Mark my words you worthless bigot. It is only a matter of time before all Gays can both get married and adopt children all across this country. Your god was not able to stop Obama from becoming president. He/She/It will not stop gays from achieving equal rights. You keep telling yourself that it is all apart of his master plan though. Whatever helps you sleep at night.
