Good stuff.
I've found with my duron that 160 was stable for quite a while then the temps went up, ambient and cpu, so that I'm getting more file corruptions. I have played a bit with manual mem settings on my crucial 2100 too but need to have stability or no one will use the computer, they'll just stay on the Aopen BX with the C2 that's solid as a rock.
I've checked compuwiz's site and he offers a pretty small price difference between stock 1 gig and overclocked to 1.33 so that tells me that there's a good success rate. I think my days of tweaking the last mz out of a cpu before the crash are over as I'm tired of reinstalling and putting the pieces back together. It's just too cheap to buy a fast amd. I also have a scsi burner coming with a tekram card that I'll probably put on this machine to lure the kids over.
I also have the GW fdp with an 80mm fan on my duron again. The temps for the superorb(their clip is just too tough to take off and put on) & this GW were no different so I'm thinking of going with a GW WBK-38 and putting a few dabs of silicone on the fan as a shock absorber. Not as much choice in fans up here in Canada as you have and they tend to be more expensive.
If anyone is recommending a good, fairly quiet fan with a nice clip I'd be interested in hearing about it.
