I want a lot of Nestle "Crunch" bars

Hi all,
I love Nestle "Crunch" candies. They're super-awesome. I'm trying to find a place online to buy them for cheaper than my local grocery store (Shaw's/Star Market). On sale, it's about $1 for a 5oz, "Giant Crunch" bar with the regular price at $1.50. However, these sales are few and far in between. So I need another source...

The best I've been able to come up with online is this at candydirect.com. The only thing that bothers me is that the pictures don't match the item description (granted, if I got 7oz bars, that'd be amazing). Worse, shipping for 1 box is about $13 (Ordering more boxes lowers the per-box shipping cost by $2-3.)

So ATOT, help me satisfy my craving for crunch bars! Please help me find credible e-tailers to buy lots of candy from... lol

why don't u just try making it from scratch? my guess is it's just 2 ingredients: chocolate & rice krispies cereal. and depending on the chocolate u use, it may even taste better than a Nestle Crunch bar.

To those asking for quantity: Large amount. 10lbs is fine; I'm also good with 20 or 30 lbs.

Making it myself: hm... I hadn't considered that. I guess I can google for people who have done the same to see what the procedure is. But I think making 10++ lbs of candybars won't be that trivial?

Sam's Club/Costco/etc: None of those stores are easily accessible to me. My RAs may be making a run in a few weeks, so I'll ask them to look for me. (I'm in college; I have no car.)

3 fo 0.99: uhhh... maybe in a place where the cost of living is lower. Here I'm lucky to see 1 for 0.99 like I said in the OP.

I have gotten those bars for 4 for 1.00$ USD here at a local grocery store...lets just say I had candy for months to come. I have not seen candy bars that cheap for ages.

Those are 1.55oz bars; 36 for $19 means about $0.5 per 2oz (rounding up by a lot). I'm looking for $1 per 5oz, at the most expensive.

I'll look into trying to make my way to costco/asking someone to buy crunch for me.

nestle bought the company i work for, so we have a company store will a bunch of nestle products. anyways, i think i can get a box of nestle crunch bars for like a buck or two. box = like 12 bars or so.

One thing about Crunch bars: The larger ones have a higher rice to chocolate ratio, where the standard sized ones have more chocolate. It alters the taste of the bar.

How quickly do you go through them? Chocolate candy does degrade over time, imo. And if you are eating them that quickly that they don't go bad, it's probably NOT a good idea to feed your addiction. Unless you think you'll get sick of them and be cured?

Anyway, since the above is not what you asked... I also recommend the option to talk to a few grocery store managers and see if they can get you a larger supply at discount. Or contact Nestle directly and find out who they use for wholesalers in your area.

dman: How fast does chocolate go bad? I've eaten chocolate after almost 2 years and I was OK. Was that a bad idea? I'll try talking to grocery store managers/Nestle if the Costco thing fails.
