A little rant, but the wait for Ivy Bridge-E has been far, far too long. Now I understand that these chips take a long frigging time to validate since they're just the scraps from the servers/workstations, but not all of the features (particularly 2S compatibility) are needed for the enthusiast desktop versions of the chips.
I've been using this SNB for too long, and upgrading to yet another 4 core just doesn't tickle my fancy. "Upgrading" to a 3930K also doesn't seem to make much sense given that it's a power hog and about to be replaced.
All in all, a very boring summer for this enthusiast.
