I honestly don't ride my bike as much as I'd like to. I got a permit a few months before I bought the bike, telling myself I would go and get my license. Well, you can have the permit for a year before you have to get a license. So I rode plenty for a year, and kept putting off going to the DMV (who wants to go there?). Finally the date came when my permit expired, so now I am permitless. Unfortunetly with school and work, I don't have the time to get to the DMV to take my test, and I'm not sure I want to anyway, because I've heard it is a major pain in the ass here in California.
I actually went down the DMV to see the circle they make you ride around, and its like doing laps in my garage! My dad tried it on his harley, and the bike was literaly too long to make it around the circle without going out. I tried in on my bike, and although I am capable of making it around, my bike refuses to run well at that slow of a speed, so it make it tough to get around. I'm thinking of just getting another permit, and signing up for the MSF course to get a waiver to get my license. Either that or I need to borrow someones tiny little 125 street bike to make that circle.
