Sometimes telling the truth hurts people too, but at least you'll never have to question your own integrity, or have it called out by someone else.

Your dream should be to become a person of high standards.

There is too much debate, relativity to morality.

Right, but don't tell the truth for the sake of it. Being a good person also includes a high degree of humbleness and modesty. I myself am a very critical person, so I have to constantly watch myself, keep myself from trying to judge or fix people.

You can do nothing about the past. Let it go and forgive yourself. Take small steps in being honest in areas you previously were not and it all adds up. Don't be discouraged when you don't succeed. You only truly fail when you give up

I appreciate the sentiment, but being the son of a consummte salesman I find it nearly impossible not to lie to people I have contempt for. there's a mental block preventing me from find this immoral.

The last time I lied to someone I loved was as a teenager, and I still regret it.
