honestly, i'm not so hot on a "pea coat" for a guy, but a wool coat (black or grey) of a slightly longer length is really a looker on a guy.

I agree totally, but there's no reason to spend hundreds of dollars. These coats are available for next to nothing at surplus stores. Including the thigh length varieties.
