I've been living in this newly built Townhouse for 2 years and with the family growing, we're pretty much outgrowing it. I want to sell it and buy a bigger single family house around the same area. There aren't too many newly constructed single family homes around here. And if so, they're way above my means. This means that I'll have to settle for an older house.
My question is does anyone know how I should approach this? Should I put my house on the market and look for a house simultaneously? Obviously, I need to sell this house to get the downpayment for the house I'm buying. Or should I take an equity loan out for the down?
