I, too, was very disappointed when I saw what this thread was about. I want to start smoking (cigarettes, not food), but I have disdained those who do for so many years that I have no clue how to go about it!
I have been super stressed out lately, and I'm sick of hanging out with other family members who, whenever they are stressed, pull out a smoke and feel much better.
I've tried booze, but I don't enjoy the tired/not-quite-so-sharp feeling I have every morning and you can't drink at work or during the day, so it's not really working for me.
So it seems like smoking would be the next best thing.
Should I start my own thread?
If anyone have any ideas, could you please let me know?
Thanks
instead, you should work out and/or get laid. the more often, the better.
well...i don't have time at the moment to work out, and i get laid as often as i want...but i don't think that relaxes women the same way it does men, at least not in an overall, life-soothing kind of way (and yes, i have real O's LOL)
You want to start smoking?
1. Go to C-Store and buy a pack, Marlboro lights have a very mild flavor and are a good starter
2. Tell that dumb fuck behind the counter to give you matches too
3. Take cigarette pack back home and lighly smack the top of it against a table top 5-6 times (this "packs" the tobacco so it burns slower)
4. Take your cigarette and matches outside (don't smoke inside, the smell lingers for hours)
5. Put the cigarette in your mouth, hold a lit match up to the end, and start pulling air into your mouth. This pulls the flame into the cigarette and lights the tobacco.
6. Blow the smoke out of your mouth without inhaling it. This is called a "puff". Take 2 or 3 more puffs to get the hang of it.
7. When you're ready, take a puff, but instead of blowing it back out, take a deep breath
in and immediately back out. Resist the urge to cough but it's not the end of the world if you do.
That's it.
Two quick recommendations:
- Do
not smoke more than 2-3 per day. The way people get addicted is that they start out smoking 1 a day, then 1-2 per day, then 3-4 a day etc. Nicotene is the
most addictive substance known (more than heroin), and it is a
very slippery slope.

Do keep a pad and paper nearby while you smoke. Smoking boosts your cognative abilities (it's why many writers and creative types smoke). Some of the best ideas I've had, and some of my best insights have come while smoking.
