Well, good points guys
Gonna go that route

this kit is at 24CAD : http://www.amazon.ca/Panasonic-K-KJ...eable-Batteries/dp/B00JHKSMJU/ref=pd_cp_504_0
The other one, the PRO is at 38CAD

The one at 24CAD seem to do the job.

Also, even though eneloops are the best rechargeable AA's, there are plenty of other "good enough" brands. I've heard good things about Amazon Basics, and it looks like Amazon Canada sells a pack of 4 for 13CAD:

Bloodborne is better than any other game from this or the previous generation. Best game ever contender. This means PS4.

Online multiplayer will last longer though. So if that's important to you, Xbone.

XBox One is by far the better of the 2 as far as media goes, of course IMO. Love having the ability to right click on a video on my desktop and selecting play to Xbox.

I thought I would like the UI since I love windows 8 however I find it to be slower then what I would like. And since everything is pretty much an app (settings, etc) it takes it alittle bit to open sometimes.

Although I dont think the PS4 UI is perfect it is alot more responsive and fluid. And from the games I've played they definitely look and played better on the PS4. I also like how the PS4 controller feels when compared to the xbox one. Hated the ps3 controller.

So for media, definitely xbox and for games, PS4.

Just my experience and opinions. YMMV

I have to say, easiest setup on a console so far.

I don't know about that. Easiest setup I can think of on a console would be something like a NES, SNES, Genesis, etc., that simply need a power adaptor, RCA cable to the CRT TV, and then the power button... No configuring network settings, getting 5-6 updates, clicking yes agreeing to 2-3 EULA's, creating network accounts, verifying email addresses/phone numbers/anti-hacking contact information, etc., etc., etc...

That's the thing: Maintenance. To me personally it's a huge hassle. Make sure they are properly charged and discharged. Make sure they are kept topped up. There's nothing better IMHO than when your battery dies to reach into a bundle of 48 of them that are ready to go. No work, no hassle.

Alkies already destroyed a Wii remote of mine via leaking. I certainly wouldn't trust them in a much more expensive controller.

Good NIMHs (eneloops) are often of a low self discharge variety, meaning very little maintanence. Just don't run them to 0.0 volts (a controller won't do this) and pick up a decent charger, and these can last years. As a bonus, even with the lower voltage, NIMHs maintain amp load much better than Alkaline, so for your uber bright flashlights you've laying around, not gonna do better.

It's always more fun playing with friends so in your case it definitely makes sense to get an Xbone.

Uhh.. his best buddy and brother bought the PS4.

Why buy the less popular and less powerful system, to save a few bucks? Amoratize that over 5-6 years and it is almost nothing.

I have both, but the XB1 sits most of the time. The MP games are all better on the PS4 and what little real exclusives the XB1 has are nothing to get excited about (I have FM5, SO, H:MCC and DR3). Bloodborne on the other hand is a game that will define the generation.

I just went with the Amazon rechargeable batteries and have been using them since launch without any issues. We have them all over the house and they work fine. Also have Eneloops and they are still going strong as well. Get a 16 pack and you will always have ones on standby.

Like I said, my buddy and brother both have a PS4 and only played once online in the past 6 months...where the other two buddies I have play bi-weekly on the Xbone...so I went with the Xbone.

I find this argument with consoles to be a bit weird. If you actually care about this, you'd be playing your games on PC where you can spend money to get far better graphics...

Todd is also one of the more outspoken Sony fanboys/trolls on the forums, so I wouldn't expect the reply to make a ton of sense.

Personally, I think the whole argument of emphatically declaring something as subjective as one console's exclusive lineup as superior to another's for anyone but your own personal tastes is silly, too.

You say that because Bloodborne is current the only game worth going out of the way to buy a PS4 for, in spite of being the more powerful system. The rest of the PS4s play list is comprised of HD remasters and shared third party titles, whereas even you cite a list of decent exclusives.

Bloodborne is a great game but hardly generation defining. Its the same Souls game we've already seen with a few extras thrown in. I'm not saying that is necessarily a bad thing because it's a good game in spite of it, but there is a danger that they won't innovate further out of fear they might alienate fans.

The PS4 at $400 was definitely the better buy when the XB1 was at $500, but at $350 the XB1 is the better buy overall. You get solid gaming, full external drive support for both media and games, and full multimedia support for playback and streaming. The PS4 is still the better hardware, but the value simply isn't there as it once was when you look at the alternative.

Sony drags their feet on these features because they claim that it's the games that matter, yet where are all the games? We are 18 months into the PS4s life and all we really have is Bloodborne. Oh wait, we did get that re-remaster of FFX/X-2. Forza 6 comes out later this year and information about GT7 is still scarce. Halo 5 is coming out later this year but where is the competition.

I love my PS4, but it's my XB1 that stays in continuous use. I'd rather play the games that are out there rather than keep waiting for the games that aren't.

The PS4 will continue to outsell the XB1 because it is solid hardware and holds so much potential down the road, but I usually suggest to people that if money isn't a huge strain then they should buy the XB1 now and buy the PS4 when the more tangible exclusives get released next year. Bloodborne will be cheaper by then also.
