He gave you a ticket so he can get your friends that ran away in court. Just go to court and tell the judge what happened. See if you can get a witness that wasn't on a motorcycle.

Problem is, if none of your friends come forward, it's simply going to be your word versus those of 3 cops unless you had some sort of recording device hidden somewhere on your bike. Even if your friends did come forward, the judge is still going to see it as evil motorcyclers' word against the cops'. The judge could go either way, I suppose.

That is unfrickingbelievable. I'm glad that you are fighting it because it is the biggest load of bull that I've seen in a long time. Insofar as video recording goes if I remember correctly any cop car that does have a video camera installed (and most of them do nowadays) ALWAYS records. There is no option to shut it off by the cop that's something that has to be done back at the station. I'd have your lawyer subpoena the officer's videotape from that night even though he states it supposedly wasn't being recorded.

Go to court - ask the cop how fast you were going. When he says he doesn't know, he didn't see it, watch the judge LAUGH HIS F'ING GOATS OFF. Just make sure you take your up-to-date insurance card so that doesn't resurface.

not sure i believe this myself............from what i remember those cameras cannot be turned off by the cop, for the obvious reason being to stop cops abusing out on patrol, or at least curtail it......also if he was calling this in to control to check your insurance etc then he would need the camera on anyhow as proof he was proceeding correctly.....also all you had to do was demand a mechanic check on the bikes engine which would tell if you had being doing serious speeds or not.....best thing you coulda done was get yourself taken back to the station....that way you could prove him a bad cop.....so im going for this being a joke thread....
