Okay, I've been working on a big picture for my wall. I was going to rasturbate an image but I decided it would be cooler to make an illustrator file where the actual resolution would cover my wall.

Anyways, I'm kind of a Half Life 2/ 1984 / propaganda/ The Wall nut... that whole bunch of crap I think is pretty cool. It's not like I'm a commy or whatever... but images from a commy regeim are some of the most powerful images I've seen.

So naturally my big pic was gonna have some of these elements in it. I wanted big planes flying formation, the wall, the citadel, some powerful images... but as I was working on it tonight I started thinking to myself "Wait, is this weird?" So I asked my roommates girlfriend, and she said "yeah, that's kinda weird" But there is no way this girl could appreciate anything like this so I already knew the answer before I asked

So I leave it up to you guys. Is makeing this picture weird? The final dimensions would be about 11sheets x 10

Maybe, but "weird" means you're different from the majority of people, and the majority of people are idiotic scumbags, so it's good. I always take "You're weird" as a compliment.

It looks "weird" to me in that it looks "off" somehow, the colors don't seem to fit that well.

the finished product would be printed in all black and white, but I'm aware the colors are off... I used some different images for references (like the kid on the ground is one of the starving ethiopian kids) so I kept the colors with where I referenced from.

I guess I really shouldn't care if people think it's wierd...

If I could make a suggestion, avoid the naked guy. Just make him look impoverished or something

I think it looks like an anti-Israel propoganda poster. The big ugly guy is Sharon, who carries an American flag with a ninja star in it to symbolize Israel's percieved military dependence on the US. The little guy is a Palestinian, who has been opressed into a state of emaciation, and is cornered at long last beyond all hope of salvation against a large wall, symbolizing the barrier Israel has been building. In a purposely ironic twist, the Palestinian resembles a Jewish Holocaust victim, perhaps an attempt to make an emotional appeal to the Israelis themselves. The Palestinian wears a gas mask to protect himself, accentuating the Holocaust comparison, and symbolizing his last ditch effort to protect himself from the unstoppable encroachment of the Israeli aggressors.

Weird, if you want to think so, I think you just wanted to us your pic. But it's going to look bad printed on so many sheets. I would either actually paint it on the wall or make it on a big sheet. If you are going to do 8.5 by 11 i would suggest investing in a bunch of foam board. Then cut out (using an exacto, otherwise the cuts look bad) the foamboard in 8.5 by 11 sheets and glue your sheets on using Super77 which is a spray adhesive (actually you may want to glue them on first then cut it out. I would also get the sheets printed out at Kinko's or somewhere using cardstock or something for your paper. Then you can space them out a lil bit, maybe make an inch or two border around them where you hang them and it should look MUCH nicer than just spitting out pages on your inkject and tacking them up there.
