Salesmen have no fear of signs. The 'No tresspassing' and 'Heavy weapons on premesis' signs don't make any difference until you appear with a 12 gauge. ESPECIALLY religion salesmen. They don't even flich when you tell them to move their SUV, because it's dangerously close to being mistaken for a target on the bazooka range - while holding a suspicious looking 6 foot long pipe. 9/11 took away all that fun, though, now we have to stick to longguns for fear of the homeland insecurity department.

Happened to us... robbed in the daytime while we were all away at work... there's only 4 hours in the day nobody is actually home... and they must've been watching our schedules... or got lucky. ONLY things taken were my digicam and brand new laptop that belonged to my uncle... and cash. They wanted re-sellables... maybe for drug money.

At least they had the decency to leave my dog alone.

Yeah, they covered us, but the cash was hard to prove... think it was a couple of hundred... nothing like $1500... that's a lot to have around... sorry for your loss. Our deductible then was $500.

No one probably ever thinks to rob my house cause we've got 3 guns in the house and my cousin and I walk the streets in full riot gear as we head to the course. Ofcourse we are both licensed and trained.

P.S. did I mention my cousin is a prison guard/court guard ... the shot gun is the most fun ...

wow

Hope something 'fair' happens to who ever stole your stuff i.e. attacked by crazy dogs..............

Some people are such assholes. No one can have anything nice because it might get stolen or vandalized or something. We have to worry about our cars and stuff all the time. It's almost not even worth trying to have nice things.

My brother was out jamming with some friends, left his equipment in the car since it was late when they got home.. And someone broke into the car and stole it. :|

i always thought karma was "tallied" after one died. as in, this theif may go on to have a really crappy next life but his current life would remain uneffected by his negative actions. (outside of the obvious consequences)

edit: and im sorry about your things. people are suggesting guns as the perfect security system but if the people who stole your stuff know you are out of the house...

Similar thing happened to us when in a Duplex. Beware of Insurance Companies, the idiots suspected us and pointed a finger at us even though we were not home and there was a huge amount of evidence including a witness!!!

The guy on the other side of the Duplex came home for lunch and found a jeep with a trailer in front of our side of the duplex. He told the Police he thought we were moving (idiot). His coming home like that stopped the theives from completely wiping us out. They were in the middle of unhooking the VCR, they already had gotten the Stereo.

The Bathroom window and the wood sill was broken in the back of the duplex. There were finger prints on the glass, the Police took my fingerprints. The Police of course never caught anyone for the crime and the Insurance Company gave us a real hassle but they finally did honor the claim. We were renting back then and glad we got Renters Insurance. People that don't are crazy not too.
