If you're going to a club...

-At least try and dance a little bit... that's what the music/floor/etc. is for. Bars are more for mingling, etc.

-If you see a girl you're interested in, don't immediately start rubbing all over her... I HATE guys who do that, and shove them away HARD. Maybe ask if you can buy her a drink? If you buy a lady a drink, she'll at least feel obligated to talk to you for a few minutes (more if she's interested).

-As others have mentioned, don't go there looking for anything other than a good time. It's always a good idea to go with a big group of guys/girls... expect to have fun with them, and nothing more.

The last few times I went clubbing, I went with my girls Kat and Yesenia... we weren't looking to hookup with anyone, we just went to dance. Any guys who approached us were turned down, because we just wanted to a have a fun girls' night out... I don't like to go out out man-hunting because of the meat market nature of the act, and I've NEVER met a guy in a club who I was interested in seeing out of the club.

About 5 years ago some friends took me to a club... and I thought, this is it? I haven't been missing anything. Gay clubs > straight clubs. I mean... yeah. I'm so right. Anyone who's been to both will tell you the same.

I'm only 23, but I'm starting to prefer going to my friend's local dive bar instead of the constant clubbing back in college. Older people are just more relaxed and comfortable. The tendency for stupid 20s-somethings to start a fight or be really stupid just turns me off.

According to him they were all perfect 10's of course...the only reason I put up with this troll is because my parents and his work together/are friends.

Now he also mentioned being there until 5am as well as walking his dog at 10 this morning.....he is on vacation and I somehow doubt not one of those 5 people he mentioned hooking up with didn't have work this morning.

I have been to a gay club once, a friend asked us all to come to his spot since he always came out and offered to be the non-drinking driver...so we did.

It wasn't bad, there were some girls there, decent looking and the dress was more prep and normal club than the leather type stereotype. Drinks were decently priced....I met a 'friend' there , my buddy had to tell him I wasn't gay though...he wasn't high pressure or anything just kept talking and I am always talking about stuff. No one there was openingly running around trying to hit on every guy or nothing more than normal club stuff was happening (a couple dirty dances and some kissing), but it seemed more 'group' oriented than just hunting by yourself, everyone seemed friendlier...got into some good conversations, had fun dancing and a bunch of us went to a Denny's type place after and talked more....it's not a place I would frequent, but it was a fun night.

been there I think attraction is a small part, chances are someone will think you are cute... but, as it was said before, yuo can't look desperate and you have to actually talk to them, not gawk at them. Have I ever done this? Hell no...and thats why I never hooked up

what you need to do is find a good bar...I know they say bars are a bad place, but find one that caters to the 24 -early 30's crowd. Different kind of people...actually quite nice. Most of them are still worthless, but at least you'll have a good time.

If you think your're unattractive, imagine what it's like being one of those "pretty" girls who has to compete with everyone else...I mean, how much differentiation can their be?

I have to agree with you on this Dezign! If I want to be harrassed by mindless lounge lizards who think they're clever I can drink locally,if I want to just hang out and have some fun with a group of friends a gay club is the place to go.

For the record I love hearing a good story....I have been there so I believe adventure happens....but I can also spot a farce.
