Ok, now I think I understand. She was probably parked while doing the deed, let her foot slip off the brake and didn't realize the car was moving.

I don't know though. The OP says that "she died instantly from the head injury as her head was crushed between the victim and the car." I'd expect that to require a lot of speed to accomplish. I would think that either of the two "distracted" individuals would have noticed that the car was moving when it should have been parked.

Just cause she's throttling his gearshift doesn't mean the car should be moving.

If the guy isn't wearing his seatbelt, I don't think it wouldn't require that much speed...

I think this story is the kernel for a most excellent "phantom hitchhiker" story.

Every year on June 29th someone reports seeing a young lady hitchhiking on that hill. If you pick her up....

Car accident near me at an intersection I've almost missed at least a dozen times. You come down a hill, around a bend, and there's the stop sign at a T intersection. If you're distracted at the wrong moment, it's an accident waiting to happen, and there have been many accidents at that intersection over the years. Well, last week, a girl was killed when a car didn't stop and went through the intersection, striking a bank (hill, not the kind you get money from) on the other side of the road. The male passenger ended up being mercy flighted to a bigger hospital (Rochester or Buffalo, NY.) While I understand how simple it would be to have an accident there, I could not figure out how a 1 car accident actually resulted in someone pronounced dead on the scene there. I can understand life threatening injuries, but killed instantly? I had trouble believing it.

I found out some details last night, from one of the local police officers:
Immediately prior to the accident, the girl had her head in a rather intimate position in the lap of the male victim. When the car crashed, she died instantly from the head injury as her head was crushed between the victim and the car. Well, unfortunately for the male, there is a certain part of his anatomy that he's going to be missing. (unless they reattached it.) Yes, if that part of your anatomy is in a females mouth, you really really don't want something to happen that crushes her jaw closed.

Quite honestly, I'm hoping that the officer was just joking, but he's not known for making jokes like that, and certainly he wouldn't let you leave without telling you the truth. If I had proof, I'd offer it, but I really doubt a newspaper is going to publish any details like that.

How was she supposed to be driving a car with her head buried in the passenger's lap?

I don't think she was the driver, I think the "male passenger" is misleading verbage. If she was giving road head to the male driver, she could have gotten her head crushed between him and the steering wheel. That or the two of them were in the back seat while someone else was driving.

Well, it was another car that caused the accident, right?

Maybe they were parked and the other car stroke them?

Anyway, I've heard that any type of head injury causes the victim to lock their jaws, don't know if it is true or just myth, but it is damn scary being a male!

I dunno, it seems to me that the climax of the story isn't very firm. Was the guy just getting a ride, or doing the driving? The mound at the end of the road...did he hit it afterwards, or did they crash prematurely? Wouldn't the opposing traffic have honked or given some other sort of aural cue to put on the brakes? Sounds like there's no happy ending to this tale...

A rather toothy post, to be sure. Something like that really calls one's manhood into question. Hopefully he'll pull through - ironically, had he been doing that, this wouldn't have happened.

The things ppl do while driving.

A couple I knew (he was older guy/she young) were found dead rammed into a tree. She was buck naked, he had on only a pair of pantyhose.
