You kids are clueless and are doomed to have a failing relationship.

well how heavy was she before she gained the weight? i mean if she's like 5 foot 6 and going from 110 to 125, that probably isn't as big of a deal as it could be. what if she was 300 pounds?

Right now she is 5'3" and 140-145 lbs.

If you could snap your fingers and make her 125-130, would you?

"If you could snap your fingers and make her 125-130, would you? "

that's entirely different than saying "you're 25lbs. overweight, you need to exercise."

I mean even the europeans and Canadians would have taken Saddam out of power and turned Iraq into a democracy if it only took the snap of their fingers, but that doesn't mean they would invade.

Who said "you're 25lbs. overweight, you need to exercise."?

And I'm no so sure the French would have

Women marry men expecting them to change.
Men marry women expecting them NOT to change.

Both parties are disappointed.

That all depends on the consequences. If there were none and all it would do is make her lose the weight, sure I would. It would make her happy. That's whats important.

Keep her active. My wife is 29, has had four children and has zero fat..less than me but that's alright I earn the rent. Here's how I do it: We never stop moving every day. When not water skiing, hiking, and other outdoor stuff when everyone else is watching melrose of whatever is popular these days we go to the gym or play 36 holes of golf....and nightime..well you know the drill. hehe that was a pun

Then what you're saying is that you feel exactly how the OP does...

I'm also concerned for her future health.

You're just rationalizing your feelings.

As people get older they get heavier. It's a fact. It's not unhealthy.

So, either accept her or kill yourself. Your choice.

being realistic about the situation, i would say you both could benefit from excercising and healthy eating.

To each his own... My last gf was 5'7" and 112-117lbs with a B+ cup.

And I'm sure that it would make you totally unhappy if she were to lose 15lbs and you would want the heavier version back.

You clowns are just the type to be so vain, that sun tanning is also a must. Yeah, THAT'S real healthy alright. You and your wife's skin are going to be freckled, blotchy, wrinkled and leathery before you hit fourty! Your "looks" are going to suck bad before your pathetic lives are even half over. What are you gonna do then, off yourselves?

If I was still living in Ohio, I'd drive over and buy you a

Not at all. You asked me a hypothetical question that has no place in reality. I'm perfectly happy with her now and my attraction for her has not changed because of a change in weight. IIRC the OP said he isn't as attracted to her now that she is "heavier".

And I'm sure that it would make you totally unhappy if she were to lose 15lbs and you would want the heavier version back.

Not at all. I could really care less. She looks good either way and is healthy.

Why do you people think it's shallow to want the ideal human mate?
Being overweight is not natural.

because 15lbs is not "overweight" If she was happy at that weight the OP should have nothing to say about it. If he doesn't like it he can move on. If he really loves her then it shouldn't be an issue. It doesn't mean he shouldn't care about her looks at all. There obviously has to be attraction between mates but 15lbs is not that much weight to hurt her feelings and make her feel inadequate.

15 pounds is enough to be 'overweight'. 15 pounds of fat will raise your body fat% quite a bit.
