Of course they wont label it as a "hate crime". When minorities do anything it is just fine...If it were labeled a hate crime the media would cry racism. It is sickening. The media looks the other way, so that makes the public (the fuckwad ones who are brainwashed by cnn and the like) look away.
I love how on the internet, random baseless vitriol can be spewed as if it were fact.
All he did was state his opinion, and darn near everyone on this forum (including you) states their opinion WITHOUT SAYING "The following is my opinion.........."
...you don't read much, do you?
I just finished my 2nd book this month, on top of all my college-required reading. Why would you ask that?
All the guy did was state his opinion. I think most folks here would agree its not a good opinion. The guy did not state a "fact" as if it came from Encylopedia Brittanica, but he did state his opinion as if it were strong and solid.
However, thats pretty much what everyone here does on a regular basis. In theory we should all preceed our statements with a disclaimer saying "this is only my opinion" but given that its a public forum, that is always assumed.
The guy did not state his "fact" any more solidly than when I said Mosh has nice toes in another thread. I believe it to be true, but I know its not a "fact".
Its not random and baseless, its simply his opinion and it could probably be backed up with one or two poor examples so a less informed person might even buy it, but would likely be beaten down with a hundred counter examples if this were in P&N.
There is a line that people approach on a regular basis--which has become more common with the internet, mind you--where there seems to be this noble attachment to the value of opinion.
It's weird...it never really existed before. The people that defended themselves by claiming their statements were merely opinion were scoffed, and justifiably ignored, as it was largely, and correctly understood that such a person had no valid thoughts.
They wouldn't state anything so directly--as is clearly the case with Mr Wa Boy--if they didn't firmly believe it. Opinion isn't really tied to belief--belief comes from some notion that there is validity, some history of thought leading one to a certain conclusion.
Now, you know and I know, that Mr Wa here pretty much believes that there is a strong anti-white conspiracy. There was a time when he would say this publicly, and many would discount him, his words would be unsupported (as they remain unsupported by any FACT), and so unpublished and thus unheard. End of story.
Now we have the internet. It allows any fool to spew his retarded, baseless assumptions and beliefs as if they had a necessity to be heard--it's as though peer review was somehow deemed inadequate, and the floodgates opened to allow all manner of investigated fact and theory to mix with any crocked-out conspiracy...and now they seem to stand on equal ground.
I wonder...when did the tactic of stating opinion morph from the exposure of a weak, unprepared fool become a noble everyman, worthy of the same respect and validity of a well-reasoned argument?
It makes no sense
...and Shorty....you mentioned in another thread "who are you youngens that use the term 'lit?'" (when speaking of inebriation)
here you say you are in college. Well, that means I'm at least 8 years your senior (which in itself means nothing); but that does mean that you don't realize how old that term is--as it was used during my time, well before my time, and apparently now. Did you know that "high" used to mean "drunk?"
