I wonder how many of us would still be interested in computers at all if it hadn't been for the internet.
I probably wouldn't have bothered dabbling with them much.
Just think though, we have been the last generation whereby the answer to almost any question wasn't instantly available. Whereby you'd have to go ask someone else who may know, or get a <hushed whisper>book</hushed whisper> about it. As someone said, actor names, that's one example, but literally, if you want to learn about anything, you can find hundreds of articles etc in minutes.
Another great little example a friend and I commented on a while ago, remember back in the dark ages, if you wanted to check cinema times, you had to look in the newspaper? Hapless savages.
