As long as the games are playable that is all that matters to me. I am not after really high settings etc.
Money is very tight! I could probably stretch to £120 but that is almost the max. I have been offered a 960 2nd hand but dubious about that as no warranty!!
Yeah, just nab a new 950. You should be happy with it; it's a solid card.
You could pre-order one here for £116.34. Fastest card within your budget.Money is very tight! I could probably stretch to £120 but that is almost the max.
I would consider this offer as well. How much is he asking?I have been offered a 960 2nd hand but dubious about that as no warranty!!
I'd say, it's the best low power GPU there is, currently, on the market. I like this model. You would still be able to game on it. Low to Mid settings perhaps, but totally playable. Is the GTX 750Ti a good card?
The 750Ti is a great card. The 950Ti on a really good sale would be a the best choice, I think.
Yes, 950
2GB Asus GTX 950 STRIX OC DirectCU II, PCIe 3.0 (x16), 6610MHz GDDR5, GPU 1165MHz, Boost 1355MHz, Cores 768, DP/HDMI/DVI
Just ordered one!
Cheers! First graphics card in years as always used integrated gpu!
Yeah I think you are going to be in for a pleasant surprise. GTX 950 rips any iGPU to shreds.
And yes 359.06 is the right driver. Be sure to install NVIDIA's GeForce experience tool.'it will make updating to the latest drivers really simple.
Brilliant help. Thanks you!
So, insert new Card
Install drivers
Turn off PC
Reboot
In Bios make sure PCIe first
Plug Monitor to new card
Start PC
Correct?
Not even that complicated. Download drivers, turn off computer, plug in card, turn on computer, install drivers, follow instructions. It's very likely that your motherboard is already set to "auto detect" for iGPU/dGPU.
As for GeForce Experience, I usually opt out since I don't use any of the features (game streaming, auto-configuration, etc.).
