FX8350 has is faster at , you know when you are installing a game on steam and steam says "preparing files " and a wee bar starts along the box ? FX is really quick at that

So I guess 22 benchmarks in which an i5-2500k(at stock clocks) utterly TROUNCES the OC'd
FX-8350 isn't enough?

Intel's K processors are leagues above AMD's FX-8350. That's a given.

Please though, post your fringe benchmarks or synthetic ones, be my guest.

I ask him to post proof that the FX-8350 isn't a downgrade.

no because I don't care

He doesn't care so he says he won't.

I have got both chips though and there is hardly any difference in them despite what you may think. I use the intel one more and it is slightly better but it's like single digit frames better

Now he does care, post proof though? No, just anecdotal statements.

More Anecdotal statements. I thought he didn't care though...

Anymore times you're going to backtrack on your comments?
Going to post any actual proof or just more unverifiable claims?

Why do you love intel so much ? They are just a company that makes chips

Why do you love the FX-8350 so much?
It's just a chip.

Why do you love making claims without backing them with facts?

Why do you love changing the subject when you are proven wrong?

Why do you continually respond to this chain of comments when you already stated you don't care?

Why do you keep backtracking your comments?

I don't love them though I honestly could not care less about intel or amd

I get exasperated by people claiming that the fx cpus are garbage when I have both and tbh if I put both in front of you , you'd be struggling to tell them apart

heat output from anything after sandy has been worse.

Not quite true. Heat output of Sandy is quite a bit higher than anything that has come after it. You're confusing heat with temperature which isn't the same thing.

Why I personally like Intel? I like superior products. That's just me. It would frustrate me to no end to have an 8 core processor that often times gets out classed by the competitions 2 core while consuming well over double the power. You'd struggle to tell "them" apart should come with an asterisk. I can get an i5 that does everything well, or an FX8 where I'll struggle to tell it apart only in heavily threaded apps. In other apps, i'll struggle to tell it apart from an i3 on a good day.

This has nothing to do with CPU. This processes is merely allocating the necessary space on the drive. Drive speed/condition is the factor, not the CPU.

Going to 4790k might be worth it if your 2500k is actually maxed out at 4.2, which is weak for Sandy. Otherwise just bump it up to 4.4 or 4.5 and it's basically as good as a 4690k

Same here. I did a search in this forum to determine if a CPU upgrade is worth it.

Currently running a 2500k at 4.7Ghz on a Z77 board and just upgraded to a R9 290 (4GB). So a MB+CPU upgrade wouldn't really be worth it for the new video card?

4.7 is a really solid OC. A 4790k would be only a tiny upgrade, not worth it IMO. If you want to upgrade I'd say go 6-core at least or dont upgrade at all.
