The first batch of P67 motherboards with the affected SATA 2 3Gbps ports were discounted quite heavily if I remember just so that they could clear inventory.

For all of those people using just a single optical drive and a single hard drive / SDD on the 2 SATA 3 6Gbps ports this was no problem.

I can't wait to get past my 4.4ghz limitation with Haswell. NZXT sent me new fans for my Havik 140 and it's ready to go.

You already got Haswell. I didnt know its fully out.

With another OS what was your OC

I doubt a CPU is limiting your OC, maybe the motherboard is defective .. too much tim not good

If you code in anything low-level or performance sensitive it might be worth getting the Haswell because you can better see how your code will run with the new instructions as a practical matter.

I am rigless now, and not sure what to do...

I had a 3770k but sold it to a friend. I would like more cores, but not sure how haswell will perform vs. 3930k or 3820.... I would also like to know if ib-e will be much of a performance upgrade over sb-e?

E.g. 3930k vs. 4930k

First tests of the i7-4770K show it is from 7% to 13% faster than i7-3770K.

I am also hearing that Haswell will the last LGA? for consumer line... but X79 or X99(High end desktops) will keep LGA?

So I am guessing that a 3930k right now will still be faster overall vs. the 4770k if not overclocking...

What about IB-E, will it have AVX2? or will we have to wait for HW-E in Nov 2014?
