According to the Intel website, the i7 3930k only supports up to DDR3-1600. The motherboard I was planning on buying along with this CPU, the ASUS P9X79 PRO, supports up to 1866 (more with OC, but I don't want to OC)
According to the PDF on the Asus website, the only 32 GB kit they tested is the Corsair CMT32GX3M4X1866C9, which is 1866. Since I really want 32 GB, I was wondering if the CPU will be fully reliable with it, because of the max 1600 spec.
Anyone has any experience with this?
