Okay Great! thanks.

Man I am sorry but I am not finding the instruction on that Page, or maybe I am so frustrated that I am not reading over it like I should?

It starts with post #10593 and then there is some discussion after it where people talk about how to do it. It continues onto a few more pages. Post #10610:

you need FPT Z170 Tool for DOS (with bootable USB)....
https://www.mediafire.com/?p66jhts7cfi26y8

download this first.
then make bootable usb stick with , in my example "rufus".
copy those files from link above to usb stick + bios file you want to downgrade.
i have used backup file which is already named "bios.bin", otherwise rename original downloaded file to bios.bin.
boot from usb and mine downgrade works just fine.

in my case , i was just downgrade from F20 to F20 beta which was working normal. I didn't try earlier versions.

I just wanted make sure you saw the M9i that was suggested for $20:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4UF39E2338

It's superior to the 212 Evo in every way, it cools better, it's quieter, it's cheaper, it's smaller, and subjectively I think it looks better.
I think the choice should be between the budget M9i and mid-range H7, with the H7 being the bigger better option (it can handle a moderate OC).

Awesome! I am really concidering the the m9i Mini! I won't Overclock soon. I bought the 6700k for 2 reason #1 Better resell value/long term investment #2 Raw/stock power of the 6700k #3 If I wanted to ever Overclock I would be given the option to do so.
Thank you very much! Wonder what I was doing wrong? I couldn't find this page.

PS: I do really like the M9i a whole lot due to its cheap price! and I am sure it would be a nice/decent upgrade appearance wise as well.

I being wanting to ask this question as well. Do you think if I bought the M9i (Really like it a lot) I would have to remove the Motherboard in order to install it? I'd hate to have to do that.

Thanks a lot!

It depends on your case. Many cases have a open cutout behind the CPU area, and if that's the case, you will just have to remove your side panels.

Yep, if you look at the installation pages I linked you can see that you need to reach the back of the MOBO. As said above some cases have a cutout for that which makes it easier.

The M9i is a good option for a stock 4 core i7, or a stock voltage OC.
If you are planning to dabble with overclocking the H7 might be worth getting as it would allow you to go further than the M9i.
Though both would be outclassed by a high end air or water cooler, so if you want to wait until you get one of those then the M9i will be fine.

Won't overclock yet but would really like lower CPU temps. Question is if I bought the M9i how much would my Temps drop?

If you want hard numbers, from reviews (like the one I posted) it looks like it'll be in the mid 60s with a heavy load at stock speed. It's going to vary though depending on your case, airflow, ambient temps etc. Still, you should be at least 10c cooler (with 15c + possible) than a stock Intel and also be a lot quieter under that load.

In this review it shows around a 25c reduction at load, but it's tested with an i7-4770k:

Like EliteRetard already stated, definitely a big upgrade over that noisy Intel cooler.

Amazing! I am pretty sure I am going to get the M9i soon. Love how small it is.

I haven't changed my BIOS yet. I am going to leave it for tomorrow.

*snip*

I cant see that page (doesn't like my adblock), but I wonder if the 25c reduction there is because of an open air testbed.
While the M9i is an upgrade I doubt you'll see a 25c reduction under heavy load, it's size means it'll hit thermal saturation.

Well I am going to go ahead and buy the M9i right now from Newegg. Are there any final thoughts or objections? No I won't overclock for a while, I am enjoying the Raw power performance of 6700K stock for now.

Not sure on that. I briefly looked at their "how we test" section, and they state they mount it in case. I'm not sure if they leave panels off or not.

I installed one on a i5-6600K in a micro ATX (Bitfenix Prodigy M) system. Definitely will fit and it's a great HSF for the size. If you plan on overclocking, though, I'd go for its big brother, otherwise it's an excellent value HSF.

No won't overclock. I just don't want my CPU burning up because its hitting 80-100c after 30 minutes of gaming.

Well going to buy it right now. XD

So I found 2 of my issues! The Stock CPU wasn't pushed all the way in and it was that way for 1 year! the second issue is that the current BIOS version (Not knowing Prior) is only for kabylake CPU so it affects performance. I was told to downvolt my CPU to lower temps in the BIOS. Well I did just this and my temps went down by a large margin! but....the Voltage on my CPU seems Way too high for a 6700k on Stock?

Did you buy your 6700K when it first came out? Some 6700K are just dogs and require higher voltages. Mine won't clock past 4.5GHz without > 1.4V, and runs around 1.34V stock. I bought it close to when it was first available. Apparently later chips clock better/use less voltage.

I bought it around March 2016. I have had it since.
