i9 9900k with a 450W psu?

Hello,
I need to build a virtualization host (basic graphic card) with Intel nic card (no Realtek) for VMware ESXi.
I would like to buy i9 9900k because it has a lot of cores, 2x16 GB RAM (extensible to 64 in the future) and a Z370M/Z390M motherboard to fit a "portable" case like Aerocool CS101.
I think Noctua NH-L12S cpu cooler should be enough.

What about PSU (SFX)?
Is Sharkoon SilentStorm SFX Bronze 450W good?

I need only 1 M.2, 1 SSD and 1 3,5 mechanical hard drive. No extra graphic card required, I will use the cpu embedded one.

It would be more than enough since you are not using a discrete GPU.

However, have you considered using a i9-9900 (non-K) CPU instead? It would be a lot easier to cool, and will use less power.

Back in the days of the 2500K versus 2500, the 'K' SKUs lacked a certain virtualization feature, I think VT-d (they both had VT-x).

Might want to double-check that Intel isn't pulling the same sorts of shenanigans on their newer 8th/9th-Gen 'K' SKUs.

AMD 3900x (12c/24t) smokes the 9900k in everything multithreaded at the same price, that's what you should be looking at for virtualisation, albeit in your situation you will need to fork out $30 for an entry level GPU as the 3900x doesn't have an IGP but the difference in performance will more than make up for that small outlay. And yes a 450w PSU (as long as it's not a POS no name lightweight PSU) will be fine for such a system
