ian Li V1000 PSU compatibility

Guys I need some help.....

I Have bought a Lian Li V1000 and have learned that my OCZ powerstream 520 doesn't fit. And the PSU compartment is riveted, I be lived i had srews an could be removed to accommodate a lnog er PSU but this is clearly not the case. So I either cut the case or get a new pPSU. Doesnanyone know is a Seasonic S12 fits L in a ian Li V1000 .

Please help

http://www.formfactors.org/ The 5th linked page down, click it. Then go to page 32 of the pdf. There you will find the dementions of an ATX PSU. 150mm wide, 140mm deep and 86mm tall/thick. Yes the OCZ you have is plumped-up ( ) a bit. The V-1000 to OCZ 520 would be a bad marriage.

If you can, return the OCZ and get something else. The S-12 is standard ATX size.

There are some V-1000 guys here, hang on they will be along. zest you must be in Eastern Europe because you're rougher on the English language than I am

The OCZ 520 will fit. If you bought it new you are probably getting a newer V1000. All you have to do is unscrew the divider and loose one HDD cage and you are good to go. It screws out, no rivets. I have both the V1000 and the OCZ 520, works great.

lol.. I am in the Uk....It is just that I am using a knackered Logitetec keyboard that sticks a lot I hav to get rid of it....

Anyway Is the Seasonic S-12's definetely fit poperly!

It will will fit power supplies up to 6.5" deep (front to back


Or maybe I shoud get a Zippy .. he he joke.

There are rivets...no srews..
I really don't fancy cutting a new nd expseve case.
Gonna see if I can return the Powerstream and get i tat fits...So let me get get this right OCZ Psu's do not conform to ATX spes!!

You must have an older V1000. My divider and HDD cage unscrewed in 5 min, put in my OCZ 520 and I was rockin.

I know it sucks..And you can't really return a case cos' it will cost a fortuns in pstage or courier.
I am not cutting it.

Can someone please tell me if the Seasonic S-12 fit in this case without an mods, If so I will try and exchange the Powerstrem for a S-12 or somthing.

ya... it can only be removed on the v1000 PLUS version, not the standard. the compartments on the plus in the bottom are different (HD cage and psu guards)

you don't have to cut it really... just drill out the rivets and replace them with screws.

they new v1000b makes it easyer to move the metal thing so it will fit YAY
