jblondi: The price on this drive has fallen a bit, so it's not the exact same deal. Regardless, does it kill you to see it posted twice? This is teh absolute best deal around on an ATA/100 30gig drive. What's the problem in keeping it fresh?

No cache built in at all and I havent found the coupon yet.I would call this deal warm especialy when deals like the WD's that have been comeing out.

I dont understand the no cache the most with this harddrive.

Also even though it says its a ata100 drive in its detail discription it only says ata66

It's a good deal because the IBM Deskstars routinely kick the crap out of any IDE drive in the market, in any test you throw at it. They've been known to beat out some of the high-roller SCSI drives as well. $120 is a damn good price for this drive.

Another thing, it IS an ATA/100, and it's got 2MB cache. Check IBM or tomshardware.com if you want specs.

This drive is awesome. I have the 15gb version, and I love it. It beats out my WD and my Quantum LM Fireball Plus. There a new $20 of $100 coupon now, so that makes it $130, which is still a darn good deal. Probably pick up 2 of those and setup a RAID 0. Whoohoo!!
