Hi. I don't know if this is the correct place to post this, but here goes:
I gave my 1996 Aptiva to my kids after I purchased a new system. The Aptiva has a Bose stereo in the monitor and stupid me being so excited about the new computer, broke the little metal part off the prong that connects the sound. I finally took it in to Best Buy almost 3 weeks ago to have it fixed and after calling them a few times, they called me today and said it was back from IBM. I was told that IBM no longer made the monitor and does not have parts to fix it. The monitor still works but there's no sound.
Do you think there is any way to get this fixed? If I were to purchase speakers would that work? Any help would be appreciated. thanks!
