I personally like the T Series cuz of the 14" screen...I do enjoy the XGA resolution over the SXGA+ one.

And now it looks as though my customer/order number do not work on IBM's site anymore...they might've canceled the rest...I dunno...

it probably was. in fact, there were no instructions telling me to charge it. i just went ahead and did the charging since it felt like the right thing to do.

Did anybody who ordered on the night of Feb 12 receive any order confirmation? I placed my order about an hour before the deal was pulled that night but my order status has been stuck in "processing" mode. I called IBM this morning to inquire about it but was told that it was on "credit card hold", whatever that means. She said nobody has touched my order since it was placed. She also asked if I was an IBM employee (which I said no to) and told her I used my aunt's employee ID to purchase the laptop (which was false since I used a shareholder's ID posted on the forums). She asked for my aunt's ID but I said that I didn't have it ready with me. Is there any reason why my order might be cancelled or on hold for using someone's stock shareholders ID to purchase the laptop? I've been waiting to get a laptop like this and this would really suck if my order gets cancelled for some reason.

I ordered mine on 02/13/2004 and it is still in "processing mode" also. Who knows...it might get canceled.

the free mobile bundle is pretty neat
64mb memory key, usb2.0 hub, and retractable ethernet cord.
i just got that added onto my order today by a CSR, as my friend had ordered it with the bundle, and i hadnt. if you just added the 2672-bbu to cart without customizing it, it wasn't apparent that you could get this free mobile bundle.


however, my order has a 2-4 week hold for inventory...
anyone else have that problem?
i want this now... the more time i have to think about it, the more likely i am going to decide i am better served with an extra $1077 in my bank account.

I was hesitant about buying this at first because I wasn't sure if I wanted a X-series or a T-series Thinkpad. I really wanted the larger screen and resolution with the T40/41. But the more I think about it and the longer I wait, the more I want the X-series.
