I bought a laptop from them one year ago this week and it's been perfectly fine. It was a great price for what I got back then. I've only contacted their customer support twice, but both times they responded within a few days.
I know they have some pretty bad ratings, but I haven't had any problems as of yet.
Of course, my year warrenty is up, so who knows what will happen next week.

Actually a buddy of mine has an IBP A64 notebook that has done well over the years, friendly customer support too.

According to the resellerratings reviews, the prices and products seem ok, its just that their after-the-sale customer service tends to suck when it involves an rma.

Yea, the prices are great, but the customer support really sucks.
Quality is pretty good since they do know how to build computers fairly neatly.
I would order from them if they had good prices and if I did not want to build my own computer. I personally don't like most of their cases as they are either too strange looking or really cheesy looking. To me they are more like kiddie computer cases.

if i ever want to do a compleat new computer purchase, i'll probabaly go here, my comp, compareable equivalent for under 1200, thats w/ a case and PS. If they had something where u could buy everything, and just get ur own case, psu, i'd like that more.
Then again, there's just nothing like hand picking every single component to a new computer that might just be worth paying a bit more.

Edit, w/ tax and shipping , would be about 1330 ish, still, not too bad!!

Have to disagree with any general blanket statements stating that ibuypower has bad customer service. My personal experience with them was very positive. I purchased a system from them in 2002 for my son for college. The price and value was excellent compared with other system builders at that time. All name brand components and very customizable. I had to RMA a Scepter LCD and had no problems at all. I also needed to use their phone technical support to get the front panel USB ports working, and the person that assisted me was knowledeable about the hardware that I purchased and correctly walked me through solving the problem (and this involved opening the case and locating the header to correct the wiring error).

The system was a great value at the time, the customer service was excellent, and the system in still going strong today after several upgrades.

I give them a thumbs up!

I bought a comp about 2 years ago from them and still have been using it. I ran into problems at first because they gave me the wrong motherboard and PSU. After a couple of weeks of arguing I finally got my computer back and tehy upgraded me from a ti4800 to a radeon 9700 pro. At the time I was extremely frustrated by their CSR's but the computer has been great the past two years so I can't really complain that much.

ibuypower.com is the perfect choice for anyone who doesn't have any experience in building a computer. two of my buddies have bought computers from ibuypower for a low price. they both got ECS motherboards which in my experience are extremely terrible. but you get what you pay for. building your own custom computer is the most cost effective choice to take.

hmm i dunno, the cases are extremenly ugly, but they seem like they are packed with good stuff, and i have NO experience building comps, and i dobut i could get a good price from someone here to build one for me. ill come back when im a senior and HS and see if i'll buy one then or have someone build it for me.

That faintly resembles a swastika and the swastika had a different meaning prior to the Third Reich. It still does have a different meaning, but few people know that.
