Yea, that's a combo for both IC7-G and 2x256mb of HyperX PC4000. Seems like a pretty good deal. I checked the price on Newegg, both 512mb of PC4000 and IC7-G are about $190 by itself.

Not a bad deal, though too much for my wallet. I am going with GEIL, leftover from incompatible NForce board.
With Opteron next to impossible to overclock a switch to Intel is desirable. Now if only I can find a cheap Northwood C.

Really, did you?
I read on amdboard that it is going to be very little room for that. Second, with these Opteron prices there is no chance in hell I'd stay with AMD when Pentium HT is better already. In fact I am waiting for the release of Prescott, for these prices of Pentium HT to go down a notch. Marvelous processor, I have 2.4 GHz Pentium HT and it kills my Barton 2500 anyway you take it. I know, I know Barton 2500 is really cheap, only that rating is as false as it gets. It cannot hold a candle to any HT Pentium.
