ICQ Ports

Okay, had to reflash the firmware on my router and stupid me didn't write some stuff down. Does anyone know what port ICQ uses for FILE TRANSFERS. I know it uses 5190 for logging on but for the life of me I can't remember or find out what port it's FT feature uses.

That's close Jack thank you, but not quite what I was looking for. That shows you how to set up ports throgh a socks proxy for multiple users with ICQ. Since we are using a NAT firewall here I need to know the port for the file transfer feature so I can forward it and allow it to work. Without it, ICQ will work for messaging but nothing else.

For instances. I have to forward port 6701 if I want to allow voice/video conferencing on ICQ. I just can't remember the stinking port ICQ uses for it's File Transfers.

I know ICQ uses a port in the 3XXX range someplace that it listens on for file transfers. Thought it was 3754 but I was wrong. Probably close to that but I can't seem to come up with it.

I was under the impression it used a dynamic port scheme for file xfers.

Hence why it's virtually impossible to send files to someone if you're both behind a firewall.

Finally found it. I did tons of google searches for that darn number and couldn't come up with it. Finally downloaded a port scanning program and tried to fire off some file transfers with ICQ and sat back and watched. For anyone who ever wants to know, ICQ's default file transfer port is 1135.

So I was WAY off thinking it was 3xxx something. LOL... at least it had a 3 in it!
