Today I set up the internet connection sharing of win2k to share my dial-up connection to my two pcs. I followed the instructions of the win2k help and it worked perfectly. Then I shut down one pc. The other remained on, but I haven' t touched it. After 2 hours I turned the pc on again and ICS didn' t work. I checked the settings, but I couldn' t find anything. My configuration is the same as recommended at practicallynetworked, at least I think so. What settings are important for ics?
My pcs are connected through the SMC Barricade. My LAN works perfectly - I can access all drives of my computers, sent files from one pc to the other and both computers can print (printer is connected to Barricade). Server ip is 192.168.0.1, client is 192.168.0.2 and Barricade is 192.168.0.254. Both computers use win2k. One pc has a 3com C905C-TX nic and the other has an Intel Pro/100+ nic. I haven' t installed the latest drivers of the nics, but this should not be important.
