Sooner or later chastity belts are going to be in vogue again in Repub controlled states. And guess who's going to have the keys to unlock them? Now that the "conservatives" of the country have inextricably married religion with their political ideology nationwide this unholy medieval pairing will further erode democracy as we know it. Pairing the two in order for both to survive in a nation that's becoming more liberal as time goes by only exacerbates their eventual demise.

Enforcing religiously infected politics on the majority of the people of the nation by religious edict and legislation is not going to result in a happy ending for all parties involved, yet it seems it's exactly what the GOP is up to. The party has absolutely nothing to offer the vast majority of the nation's working class folks in the way of essential social and economic programs that lifts their quality of lives so what the GOP has resorted to is fucking around with the emotions of the people to divert their attention from that fact of life.

Oh, hey, it's my partner's sister! She also eschews medical doctors in favor of an applied kinesiologist. The funny thing is many of these things they oppose are not even theoretical. they can just look at nearby states and see that it's completely fine... They just pride themselves on being backwards and stubborn at the end of the day.
