Ideal motherboard for Barton 2500+ ?

I have a Barton 2500+ (unlocked) and need a new motherboard for it. I currently have a Epox 8RDA+ and it appears to be failing by shutting off under heavy load and giving math errors in prime95. I've already tested the memory, power supply (Antec true 430) and returned the CPU to AMD who tested it and declared it problem free. So process of elimination leaves the motherboard and I'm looking for recommendations.

I'm looking for stable, minor overclocking, and good low cpu sound (I've gotten used to the soundstorm on the nforce 2). Any specific boards to avoid? I don't want cutting edge since I'd like to keep the cost around $100-120 shipped.

I'm impressed with my Abit NF7-S. It's in your price range ($100 at Newegg), and a highly recommended board for o/c-ing.

I have one of those also. Very good board.

DFI is also a very good brand.

I`m using the DFI Infinity NF2 Ultra 400,excellent board,lots of features ,good price,easy to setup and also designed for the overclocker,so a great allround board IMHO. Btw it does have Soundstorm .

I've used lots o'mobos, and the FIC AU13 is the best I've enountered. I like it so much that I moved to one from my perfectly fine Epox 8RDA+.

Hey, a fellow Soltek user!. I have the SL-NV400-L64 and love it! only single channel ram on this one, but at the time I bought it, it was about $40 savings vs the SL-75FRN2-L, and I only have 1 512 anyway. The thing OC's like a dream. Set the FSB to 200, and forget about it. It's like a ron popiel infomercial. Soltek is dang cheap, not a lot of features you'll never use, and rock solid.

That being said, I've never had any problems with MSI, Asus or DFI either. All have worked well for me.

I have two DFI NFII Ultra Infinity MB's and both are running FSB's of 250+.
