Ideas for bbq?

so I'm having a big bbq tomorrow.

What are some activities for people to do? It's gonna be at a park so there's bike and boat renting. Bringing a football too.

Besides the ordinary, what food do you guys like at bbqs?

I was thinking about volleyball cause there's a court, but I dont have the net so i might have to buy that. i'll get a frisbee too. And my friend wants to get supersoakers to get everyone wet. god i havent played with water guns in the last 20 yrs. lol

Didn't think about corn on the cob and the fruit bowl. thats a good idea. I'm gonna get shish kebobs coz people usualy like those

You could always take a party game or two with you, that way the older ones just sitting around and relaxing have something to do. Water gun fight would be fun but gets old after 10 or so mins. Volleyball and football are good too like you said so take advantage of that.

1) volleyball (most fun for co-ed), softball, basketball (bah), frisbee
2) chicken wings, pork chops, kielbasa, yams (yuck), corn on the cob

Food: Kebabs are the sh!t. Chicken and Steak are a given. Idk about ribs. Make hotdogs or hamburgers for the kiddies if you want. Also, cut potatoes and cook them in foil (/w pepper/salt/paprika or course/garlic of course), that's also really good.

Activities: Football, soccer, capture the flag, volleyball, frisbee, waterbaloons, stereo.

It's also interesting when you have a large coal-grill and have everyone cook their own burgers... have a table of seasonings and such... that way, one sucker isn't stuck on the grill listening to people bitch about how they like their's rare or well done.
