Got a notification that some of my information was subject to a data breach (matter of when, not if, these days) and of course i get the complimentary ID theft protection offer.
now here's the thing that gets me - the ID theft protection people ask for the very same information that an unscrupulous organization looking to steal ID wants. doesn't that just paint a giant ass target on them? (also, would be one hell of a way to scam people out of their PII).
