I've found that those who hate Stern have never even listened to him. They just have this preconceived notion of who he is based on nothing but what some idiot "journalist" wrote about him once.

Oh boy, he is perfectly capable of controlling himself if he were on a show like Idol. While he does swear on his show its not as much as you would think. Hes changed a lot in the past 15+ or so years I have been listening to him.

I listen to Stern sometimes at a friends, his show is boring as fuck, people think it's all him cussing and interviewing strippers. They sit around and talk about shit like the last episode of survivor. I'm not a fan, and it has nothing to do with how he's perceived by the media. The show does have it's interesting parts, but to listen to him and Robin sit and chatter about some stupid event that's not even interesting makes me feel like I'm listening to a radio version of many ATOT threads.

I've tried to listen to Howard Stern, but it's rather pointless. Jerry Springer on the radio, his schtick is mean-spirited and uninspired. Not the typical yuck-yuck one gets on morning radio, sure, but it's pretty much lowball assholishness.

Love him or hate him, he would be compelling. His show is far, far different now than it was in the 90s or even 5 years ago.
