The only time this ever worked correctly was oddly when i had an i5 2500k and a GTX 480 for RAGE.
I attempted to play RAGE again, on Phenom II + GTX 580, this resulted in way worse texture streaming.
The Xeon i have now + GTX 670, still the same problem, yet the benchmark ran a lot faster on the Xeon and 670 system, the 580 was just ahead over the 480 system.
Totally unoptimised and never scale well with hardware.
Wolfenstein the new order, same problem.
Now with this game i played it originally with a Radeon 7770, worst thing ever, had to drop to 480P on low to get a smoothish game... yet barely anything on screen was taxing the GPU.
Tries again with a GTX 670, can run in 1080P but not without some big frame drops for no reason, plus the game is so inconsistent graphically.
DOOM 2016, oh this pile of shit... LMAO.
People harp on about how greatly optimised this game is, sadly they all seem to forget they are running way above average hardware that exceeds the system requirements for DOOM.
Let's try DOOM on a GTX 670, the minimum requirement.
Trash optimization, runs terrible for no reason.
Image gallery to prove how bad this is.
2FPS difference on low vs high at 1080P.
10FPS difference from 1080P to 480P.

And this is what todays folk call amazing optimisation, it makes me laugh.
None of the IDTech5 engine games scale with hardware, they simply require brute force which not everyone can afford...
And Wolfenstein and RAGE will still run like horse shit even on superior hardware lol.
Absolute joke.
