IE locks up

Since rebuilding my system in a new case, I've started having trouble with Internet Explorer locking up. It locks at random times, usually between 5 and 15 minutes, not allowing me to click anything. If I mouse over the "X" in the upper right of the window, or the desktop icon on the taskbar, they won't highlight, and arent' clickable. I can hit "Ctrl-Alt-Del" twice and it displays the blue screen saying "Windows is busy waiting for the close program dialog box..." I can then press space, and it shows me the close dialog box. IE is always listed as "not responding" and I can close it there and re-open it, and all's fine until the next time it locks up.

I don't think it's the modem, it's a Creative Modem Blaster, and the driver's updated, and through closing and re-starting IE the internet connection stays fine, and all's well there. Thinking it was a bad installation I re-installed IE 5.0. That didn't fix the problem. I then installed the Opera browser, version 3.1. It acts just like IE, locking up and the whole nine yards is the same. I had to type this message in notepad, and cut and paste it to this post, because the first time I tried typing it to the post it locked up about as soon as I was finished. Any help's appreciated.

Give more info about your system please. Might not have anything to do with I.E. or your modem.

I overclock and one of the instabilities I get is when I have 4x enabled on my mobo, my scroll wheel (most of the time) could lock my display. It seemed like my computer was running in the background because I could run stuff from memory and rebooted it. Just the video locked and the trigger was I.E. and my scroll wheel on my mouse.

Look in your timings on your mobo and start turning stuff down a bit to see if your problem is stability related. It might also be program related, you might have some common driver file that is corrupt that your reinstall of 5.0 is not fixing. You might have to upgrade to a higher version to get it to update that file.

The system's a P3 650. I had it at 910MHz for a long time, about a year, but since rebuilding it, I'm running it at default speed until I get some more active cooling in this case. Here are the rest of the specs:
