IE Window resizing

This one thing is driving me crazy. For some reason everytime I open up IE it fills the entire screen. But it isn't maximized. I thought that if I just resized the window and then closed IE, than the next time that I opened up IE, it would be that last size that I had it at, but nope...everytime I open up IE it is still super big. Does anybody know how I can set the default size of IE? Please it is driving me crazy.

I wonder if that will make the status bar stay on. It seems like that damn bar is always disappering on me.

Shift + Close(X) worked...why isn't that more widely known, that is awesome thanks alot.

Where did you find this info eKlass? Maybe that site will have more useful tips. Thanks again, you saved my sanity.

Make sure that in Windows Explorer the status bar is set (View->Status Bar), once that is done for some unknown reason the IE Status Bar will also remain once set. Don't even ask me why.
