IE6/XpPro Login Password Problem

I just finished building a new system and I have an odd problem with my password in IE6 and a dial up account. If I choose to let the computer save my login password it comes back double the next time I try to connect. ****** comes back as ************ and my isp will not let me log on. I've been typing in my password each time I connect and it's no big deal but I would like to know what is causing this. Anyone have an idea? Thanks.

I had the same problem with my XP Pro system. I fixed mine but I am not sure what fixed it exactly. I have it connect automatically without prompting me and it has my pw saved. I think you may have to be in an admin account to change the pw and have it stay changed.

Had the same problem as well, except it was with AIM...kinda went away after a while, i have no idea why or how.
